Resident asks county how to secure fireworks permit for Kranzburg event; county staff directs her to city and fire department approvals

During the public comment period a resident, Linda Crayon, asked whether a permit was required for a professional fireworks display planned for Aug. 2 on the ball diamond in Kranzburg.
County staff responded that Kranzburg is an incorporated municipality with its own board and said the resident must obtain the mayor’s or municipal board’s sign-off. Staff also said Watertown Fire Department, which covers fire protection for that area, must sign off on the permit and offered to provide the necessary form from the county office.
The resident said she had already talked to Kranzburg officials and was referred to the county; county staff said Brenda’s office could supply the permit form and guided the resident on next steps. No formal action was required by the commission.
