Key changes presented by staff included raising the daily rate for Powell Park from $150 to $300, increasing the Civic Center daily rate from $300 to $450, setting the renovated downtown venue rental at $500 (up from the ad‑hoc $300 previously charged), keeping the Gold Dust Gymnasium flat at $300 daily but raising hourly gym rates from $30 to $35, and maintaining a $200 refundable security deposit. Ivey said the downtown venue has a full‑service kitchen and recent renovations that support a higher rate. Staff compared local municipal rates (Carroll County, Carrollton, Douglasville) in setting changes.
Council placed the fee schedule on the consent agenda and did not oppose the placement at the work session. The fee changes will be considered at the council’s Tuesday meeting for formal action.
