A supervisor asked the board to invite MidAmerican and the on‑site project representative to provide periodic updates on the county's wind project and to help answer questions from residents about locations and construction activity.
The supervisor said callers have asked for clarity about access roads, turbine placement and whether the project is following agreed maps. "I just thought it'd be nice if we get in... the MidAmerican that was here. I'll have to go back. I think I have it. But if you want, I can reach out just to see if they'd be willing to give updates to us," the supervisor said.
The supervisor suggested MidAmerican provide updates on a regular basis (for example, every other week or by email) or offer site tours so county officials can answer constituent questions with current information. The board directed staff to reach out and arrange an update and to follow up on enforcement questions related to the county ordinance and project siting.
