The Tippecanoe County Drainage Board opened sealed bids for the Lower Elliott regulated drain project and voted to take them under advisement during its May 1 meeting.
Board staff read four bids. Morphy Construction submitted a base bid of $2,035,032; F & K Construction $813,600; Atlas Excavating $799,014; and Milestone Contractors $1,031,700. After the amounts were read, a board member moved and another seconded a motion to take the bids under advisement; the board voted in favor and the motion passed.
Taking bids under advisement means staff and the board will review the submissions, verify compliance with bid requirements and return later with a recommendation for award or rejection. The board did not make a contract award at the meeting.
No public comment or substantive debate followed the reading of the bids. The board thanked the bidders and moved on to other agenda items.
