Sheriff Ed Lester introduced nine law enforcement officers promoted through the department’s testing and internal evaluation process and asked the council to concur with the promotions.
Lester named the promoted personnel and their new ranks: Detective Lieutenant Brian Sullivan; Detective Lieutenant Josh Stearns; Patrol Lieutenant Bryce Foley; Patrol Lieutenant Matt Sailor; Patrol Lieutenant Jim Duddy; Detective Sergeant Chris Snyder; Patrol Sergeant Ryan Falling; Patrol Sergeant Chris Tierney; and Patrol Sergeant Tyler Costello. Lester praised the officers’ work and acknowledged the strain police work places on officers and their families.
Commissioner Shea moved to concur and place communication number 2025‑5219 on file. The council voted 10–0 to concur. After the vote the commissioners and sheriff recognized the officers and their families in the chamber and with photos in the hallway.
