Court admits Jean Baker’s will and codicil; names Sarah Baker Korth personal representative

The Lenawee County Probate & Juvenile Court admitted the will and codicil of Jean Baker to probate and appointed Sarah Baker Korth as personal representative, the judge said.
Clark F. Baldwin appeared for the petitioner and said the petition and publication had been filed and that renunciations from other potential heirs were in the file. Baldwin told the court the estate’s assets were limited to a bank account (held in North Carolina), a car and household goods. The judge found that Jean Baker died on Jan. 29, 2025, and that venue in the court was appropriate. The judge said heirs were properly determined and uncontested and that supervised administration was not necessary.
The order admits the Oct. 22, 2007 will and the April 24, 2023 codicil to probate, appoints Sarah Baker Korth as personal representative, and directs administration under the will. The judge signed the will, the codicil, letters and the order during the hearing and told counsel the clerk would provide copies in the regular course.
