Highway staff report progress on Golden Bridge replacement on Lexington‑Leroy Road

The contractor had removed the south half of the old bridge to allow crane access, and staff said they expect a forming system to arrive onsite next week; once the deck forms are set, pouring the deck could take roughly two weeks.
“The project’s moving along good,” Highway Department staff said, and noted most of the earthwork is complete so the remainder of work should progress quickly after deck pours and backfilling. Staff also mentioned related preconstruction activity on other projects — a Route 66 bike trail segment and PJ Keller Highway work — as the department transitions into summer construction season.
No new actions were requested; the item was presented for information and committee members asked no follow‑up motions at the meeting.
