He also said he was still seeking administrative details from a tourism director in New Bedford.
Committee members discussed weather and contingency dates; one member said the vendor would likely require an alternative date similar to traditional firework contracts. Members also noted that highly customized displays (logos, complex animations) appeared to carry higher costs and that the committee could work with vendor creative teams to design a show that fit budget and theme. The committee agreed the next step is to evaluate fundraising and sponsorship options to cover a deposit if the committee decides to proceed.
