Samuel Fields told the Clayton County State Court on May 7 that he contracted with Willie Pittman of Reindeer Remodeling to remodel his home in March 2024 and that he paid more than $18,000 up front and additional sums as the work proceeded. Fields said the written price was roughly $38,000 but that he ultimately paid more than $56,000 to Pittman and later paid subcontractors roughly $25,000 to finish work he said was incomplete.
