Riverton council grants one-year extension for Notte Rajes retail liquor license

The Riverton City Council on May 6 approved a one-year extension for Notte Rajes LLC to keep its retail liquor license in nonoperational status until May 21, 2026, while the proprietor completes renovations at 502 East Main Street.
Administrative staff said state law requires a licensee to be operational within a year or seek a one-time extension for good cause. Rafael Delgadillo, the proprietor, told the council he purchased a building with extensive deferred maintenance, has invested in renovations and equipment, and expects to reopen ‘‘toward the end of fall’’ though he asked for up to one year in case of contractor delays.
Council members who asked about the request said staff had reviewed the proprietor’s written update and recommended approval. The council approved the extension by motion and voice vote with no recorded opposition.
Delgadillo said the proposed concept will include a pool hall and nightclub area alongside the dining space and that he is invested in downtown Riverton and expects to reopen once renovations are complete.
