Cleveland Chamber previews infrastructure luncheon, Entergy resiliency ribbon cutting and community events

Garcia said the chamber’s May luncheon will be an “infrastructure luncheon” featuring representatives from BNSF, Comcast Xfinity, TxDOT and Entergy Texas to discuss infrastructure work in the area. He said Entergy Texas is starting a series of large infrastructure projects this year and that “one of them is right here in Cleveland,” with a resiliency ribbon cutting planned immediately after the luncheon.
Garcia also previewed community events. He said the Taste of Cleveland is set for Thursday, May 15, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a “throwback Thursday” theme. He said the chamber will host a ribbon cutting for museum renovations Monday the 19th at noon. He invited board members and staff to participate.
Board members thanked the chamber and noted ongoing collaboration with city staff and the EDC. No formal board action or funding decision related to the events or Entergy projects was recorded in the meeting minutes.
The chamber’s events combine private infrastructure investment updates with community marketing and cultural programming; Garcia encouraged local participation and noted giveaways and other public-facing elements at the luncheon.
