Skamania County senior-services staff told the commissioners on April 22 that the county obtained an additional $40,000 in funding from ATSWA to support the congregate meal program.
Senior-services staff said participation in congregate meals has increased over last year and that the award will be added to the program contract and management documents. Staff expected the contract paperwork to be completed in the coming week.
Staff also reported routine administrative items — hearing tests for drivers were completed, staff attended the Gorge Transit Summit and local partner meetings, and programs including Spring Fest and the Home Valley Invitational continue to be organized and showing stronger vendor interest.
Ending: Senior-services staff will return with the executed contract amendment and continue normal program reporting.
