Pierce County Council proclaims May as Public Service Recognition Week and Small Business Week

The Pierce County Council and County Executive read two proclamations on April 30 at the council’s in‑district meeting in University Place designating May 2025 as Public Service Recognition Week and May 4–10, 2025 as Small Business Week in Pierce County.

Council member Robin Denson read the Public Service Recognition Week proclamation and Council member Dave Morell read the Small Business Week proclamation. The public‑service proclamation noted Pierce County’s roughly 3,300 public employees and called on residents to recognize their work; the small‑business proclamation cited federal and state small‑business supports and Pierce County programs including the Pierce County Business Accelerator.
