Trustees and staff credited Crotty with leading labor negotiations, modernizing personnel policies, guiding recruitments and helping establish and maintain village personnel practices. The board’s proclamation noted his statewide and national leadership roles, including service as president of both the Illinois and National Public Employers Labor Relations Associations, and thanked him for 17 years of municipal service.
Crotty was honored with remarks from colleagues and a reception; the board noted his contributions to village culture and operations and extended best wishes for his retirement.
