"The purpose of our grants are to fund organizations and individuals that provide programs, events that benefit our community," Rebecca Sarmenow, the city’s community services director, said as she presented the subcommittee’s recommendations. The subcommittee reviewed 19 qualified applications and recommended awards to 11 applicants, with the total budgeted at $73,500.
