District summarizes recent CIP completions and potential future campus projects

District staff reviewed completed capital projects for 2023–24, ongoing repairs and vendor issues on playground sealing, pool resurfacing closeout activities, server/IT work and potential future projects such as camera upgrades and exterior painting.
A representative of Emery Unified School District provided an overview of capital improvement projects (CIP), noting completed work in 2023–24 and projects underway or under consideration for future years.
Staff said projects completed in 2023–24 are closed out and discussed progress on 2024–25 cumbered expenditures. Items under active work or monitoring include a pool heater replacement (in coordination with the city), Pacific Playground sealing and patching where the current vendor has not completed obligations and staff are pursuing other vendors if necessary, server and IT management work and pool resurfacing that is in a maintenance/inspection phase before final payment.
Staff said potential future projects under discussion — not yet in design — include camera upgrades and exterior painting. The presenter invited questions and noted that IT director Sean (present in the Zoom) could answer more technical questions about servers and access control.
No formal action was taken on CIP items during the meeting.
