He explained the town will pay contractor invoices and then be reimbursed; staff estimate the town’s share will be about 5% with the remainder covered by federal funds.
Construction was described as likely to begin in late June or July, with Stantec providing a resident inspector and the contractor handling runway closures and work sequencing. Board members noted the bid came in under the engineer's expected cost.
Action taken: Sam moved to authorize the town manager to use AIP/BIL entitlement funds for the project; Keith seconded and the motion passed by unanimous voice vote.
