Bowen said he participated in the county survey but has not seen a response or adequate public outreach on the draft proposal.
Bowen noted that a Department of Ecology guidebook referenced in discussions appears to be a draft product and that the county should not proceed to a public hearing without clearer mapping and more robust engagement. He asked the board to postpone the public hearing until those materials are available and the public has had opportunities to comment.
Commissioners acknowledged Bowen’s comments in the meeting record; no vote or decision to postpone the hearing was recorded in the public meeting.
