Wendy (staff member) told the Clallam County Housing Solutions Committee that the Northview affordable housing project now has a fully executed contract with the Washington State Department of Commerce and that construction has moved into active site work.

"We do have a fully executed contract for the $6,000,000 for Northview," Wendy said during the meeting, and she credited city staff for expediting plumbing permits so crews could begin laying pipe.

Wendy said crew work is under way, slabs will be poured later this month and vertical construction will begin in June. "My best guess today is we'll be in by this time next year," she said, while noting schedules can slip.

The committee did not take a new formal vote on the contract during the meeting; the speaker described the contract as fully executed and construction as progressing. County and city staff were thanked for permitting and partnership on the project.
