Council approves citywide roadway improvements contract after two bids exceed estimate

Councilman Whipple moved to award the construction contract for Citywide Roadway Improvements 2025 (Project R5025) to Surface Contracting Inc. in an amount not to exceed $979,550; Councilman Hatch seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
Staff noted the project includes work on South Ridgecrest Drive, West Country Club Drive, West Cooley, North 304th Drive and West Country Club Circle; an additional cul-de-sac in a nearby subdivision was added to the scope because curbs were already in place there.
