City staff presented the 2025 slurry-seal scope and bid results and recommended award to the low bidder.
A staff presentation noted the city plans to place roughly 275,000 square yards of Type 2 polymer-modified asphalt slurry seal on selected streets and then replace pavement markings. The engineer's estimate was $550,000. Bids opened publicly produced three offers: American Pavement Preservation at $497,605, Lehi Corporation at $626,875 and BSS International at $780,120.
Council moved and approved awarding the contract for the City of Show Low Slurry Seal 2025 (Project R8625) to American Pavement Preservation in an amount not to exceed $497,605; the motion passed unanimously.
Staff said maps identifying the streets targeted for this year’s work are attached to the project packet and that slurry crews are responsible for follow-up striping under the contract.
