County sets May 20 public hearing on airport lease for Redline Powder and Metal Design at Bowers Field

Kittitas County Public Works on May 6 requested that the board set a public hearing for May 20, 2025, at 2 p.m. to consider a lease at Bowers Field (Lot C25) with Redline Powder and Metal Design.
Josh Frederickson said the proposed lease would be in the airport’s industrial area using the county’s standard lease rates and that the lease terms had been reviewed. Washington law and county lease procedures require a public hearing before the county enters such a lease, he said, and staff asked that the hearing be scheduled for the May 20 board meeting at 2 p.m.
Commissioners agreed to set the hearing; staff will publish notice and present the lease terms at the hearing for public comment.
