The consent agenda was moved and seconded and passed unanimously at the start of the meeting. No items were pulled for separate consideration.
On the handbook, Vice Chair Patrick Hatchell moved to adopt Part 1 of the KPFDE Board of Directors handbook, and Director Jagodinsky seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously after a brief discussion by the policy committee members, who described the packet as a concise “essentials” guide covering roles, conflict‑of‑interest rules, open government requirements, delegation to the executive director and appendices such as the board member job description and code of ethics.
The board also approved a one‑year service agreement with Northwest Municipal Advisors. The executive director and legal counsel reviewed the contract in advance; Ryan Neumeister of Northwest Municipal Advisors addressed the board briefly and said the firm looks forward to continuing the advisory role. A motion to approve the service agreement was made, seconded and passed unanimously.
