The Morton Board of Trustees voted to vacate a utility easement for Lots 80 and 81 in the Wolf Crossing subdivision (PINs 060605202023 and 060605202024) on May 20, 2025, to allow a property owner to combine the two parcels for construction of a new home.
Officials explained the request comes from a property owner at the west end of Timber Wolf Drive who seeks to merge the two lots. The village’s action covers only the municipal portion of the easement vacation; utility providers and other affected parties must sign off before any construction permits will be issued.
Trustees approved the easement vacation by roll call. Village staff said the parcel consolidation and construction would proceed only after required approvals from utilities and other stakeholders were obtained.
