Monongalia County reappoints two members to development authority, leaves several seats open

The Monongalia County Commission on May 7 approved reappointments of Ron Justice and Mike McNulty to the Monongalia County Development Authority for three-year terms that will expire May 7, 2028.
County officials said the development authority sent a letter recommending the reappointments. Commissioners asked whether terms could be aligned with the fiscal year; staff replied the three-year terms run from the regular appointment date.
Commissioners also said several authority seats remain vacant. The commission has advertised openings for at-large and municipal slots, and identified vacancies representing Blacksville and Westover. County staff said they would forward documentation from the development authority clarifying how the remaining terms will be handled.
The motion to reappoint Justice and McNulty was made, seconded and approved unanimously.
