Conference panel keeps municipal reporting but drops dashboard language from conference draft

Members said the dashboard was a compromise offered by the agency but that the agency did not want to be “stuck with both” the dashboard and other reporting requirements. One participant noted testimony from Jerry Reed about dashboards in other states that have proven useful for project tracking; committee members said they heard that testimony but removed the dashboard provision to get agreement on the rest of the municipal reporting package.
The committee reported agreement on the municipal sections (identified in the conference text as sections 15–17 in the senate language) and said the consolidated updates that came from section 20 in the Senate draft have been combined in the conference draft. Negotiators said these items are expected to be revisited next year as they continue to refine reporting and project‑tracking approaches.
Next steps: staff will finalize the draft text reflecting removal of dashboard language and retain the 10g reports. The committee will take further testimony and may resume work on project dashboards and municipal reporting in a future session.
