Sky Ridge teacher selected as Alpine School District Teacher of the Year nominee

Staff member (school administrator) announced that Mr. Anderson was selected as the Alpine School District Teacher of the Year and will complete an application to be considered for Utah’s state Teacher of the Year program.

The selection came as the district’s senior leadership team reviewed nominations and chose one candidate across the district. “Every year in Alpine School District, we honor some of our greatest teachers. We call that the accent on excellence,” the staff member said, adding, “That is you. Congratulations.”

A student at Sky Ridge praised Anderson’s classroom work and broader outreach, saying, “What I love the most about mister Anderson is how caring he is about each of his students. He cares about all of us and the little things about us…he's gotten, like, these 2 awards this year.” The student described Anderson’s attention to individual students and his broader instructional work including summer trips and training that attract educators from inside and outside the district.
