A Councilmember flagged six identical $421.50 line items in the claims report, and Public Works staff member Drew explained the entries represent an American Public Works Association membership allocation totaling $2,529.
Drew said the total amount “was split was $2,529. That is our American Public Works Association membership dues, and those were allocated on an equal basis between streets, water, sewer, stormwater, urban forestry, and ER and R as well.” He also identified staff initials on the purchase authorization form (for example, AB is Andrew Vining; DG is Dylan Gamble) and said the payment covers annual membership fees for multiple Public Works employees.
Councilmember Christiansen had asked the original question and thanked staff after the clarification. The explanation resolved the inquiry during the meeting; no additional action was taken.
