Commissioner Gary McDaniel recommended increasing an allocation to a new health-and-wellness applicant, Shamat (listed as a new community provider), recommending a $2,500 award for the initial year to monitor use and outcomes. Commissioners agreed and directed staff to update the award list.
Staff also confirmed receipt of applications for organizations previously flagged as "no" on the draft spreadsheet (for example, Path and Four Corners Home for Children) and instructed staff to correct those entries. Outside-agency awards and the chair's recommendation will be finalized as part of the interim budget process; commissioners did not take a separate binding vote on each award at the workshop but directed staff to update the list and include it in the May 20 budget packet.
