Engineer: road program to be advertised; dust-control screening installed at upper school

An engineer/staff speaker said JP worked with council and residents on the screening request and “it is now installed.” He added there are some gaps where landscaping or a bush interferes and that JP has talked with the superintendent about closing those gaps. The engineer noted that the screens must attach to the fence and cannot be installed like ballfield netting; wind stabilization and maximum feasible height are constraints.
On the road program, staff said documents are nearly finalized and the program will be put out for bid, with alternates for walkway work tied to park equipment installation so the borough can capture liquid fuels paving value.
Next steps: Council will be asked to authorize advertisement for the road program and to review final bid documents; the engineer and staff will follow up to close screening gaps at the school.
