City of Troy recreation staff told the City of Troy Board of Park Commissioners on May 6 that the parks and recreation schedule over the next several weeks will include a cluster of graduation-season events and community recitals.
At the meeting Mr. Seiler said, "you can see there on on the report that I submitted. We've we've got a good number of events coming up over the course of the next several weeks here, between today and June 14, what we call our graduation season. So we'll be shuffling chairs around quite often over the next few weeks, and, we'll kick it all off. If you're not aware, we have a center stage dance, recital this coming, Saturday and Sunday." Seiler invited commissioners and the public to attend, saying, "I encourage people to stop by around 03:00 on Sunday to see my daughter for that." The transcript shows staff expect frequent room and chair reconfigurations to accommodate multiple school-related events.
No board action was taken on event scheduling during the meeting; events were discussed as part of routine reports. The transcript does not specify ticketing, admission or contact information for event organizers.
Staff asked commissioners to note the schedule through June 14 as the department handles graduations and recitals across facilities. There was no discussion in the meeting of changes to fees, permitting or staffing levels tied to the events.
