Borough sets civil service testing date for police candidates, announces testing location

McLean said the physical fitness test will be held at 9 a.m. and the written examination at 12 p.m. at the Delaware County Police Academy on the Delaware County Community College campus; oral interviews for the top applicants will be scheduled on a later date after scoring. “The top 10 applicants after the fitness and written examination scoring, if we have 10 applicants, move on to the oral examination at a different date,” McLean said.
The manager and chiefs reviewed logistics; officials said the borough expects to have a passing list and to bring candidate names to council as soon as scoring is complete, potentially as early as July. Advertisement and notice for the testing will be submitted by borough staff; no hires were made at this meeting.
