Board hears update on Big Bend Technical College construction: GMP near $4.4 million with identified savings

Ward said one electrical subcontractor the team expects to use bid about $300,000 lower than the figure currently plugged into the GMP, and the team expected additional adjustments as final bids arrived.
Board members asked about schedule. Ward said the team was advertising and targeting an optimistic construction start and completion timeline; he said they had been “advertising for January,” indicating a January target for occupancy if the timetable holds.
