Windsor Forest student Tyler Elliott named superintendent’s student of the month

Tyler Elliott, a student at Windsor Forest High School, was named the superintendent’s student of the month during a superintendent spotlight segment.
The recognition highlighted Elliott’s roles in student government and school activities and his early plans for a career in aviation. A presenter praised his reliability and leadership, saying, “You wanna be a leader. You need to show that you're reliable with things.”
Elliott described his school involvement in his own words: “I'm part of the student council. I'm the secretary of it. I'm the vice president of National Honor Society. I'm in drama club here. I'm also in Sources of Strength.” He also reflected on a school drone program that helped spark his interest in aerospace: “I was one of the students that first started out in the first class that they had when the drone program came here, and that's just really what sparked my interest in aerospace and aviation as a whole.”
On his next steps, Elliott said, “So I've already been accepted in Savannah Tech, and I'm planning to do their airframe and power plant classes to get my license for that so I can work at Gulfstream.” He added that he also plans to pursue a business degree and expects to remain connected to his Windsor community as he moves forward.
The segment closed with presenter Ken Slatz congratulating Elliott: “Congrats to Windsor Forest High School's Tyler Elliott, our superintendent student of the month.”
