The Greenfield Common Council on May 6 confirmed Randy Lee as an alternate member of the Plan Commission for a term expiring May 1, 2027, and elected Alderperson Acres as Common Council president by a 4–1 roll call vote.
Randy Lee was introduced from the audience as a realtor active in local youth sports; councilmembers moved and seconded his confirmation and the motion carried. The council then took nominations for council president. A nomination for Alderperson Castner failed 3–2, and a subsequent vote elected Alderperson Acres 4–1.
The appointment and leadership vote were processed during the consent and new‑business portions of the meeting; Lee must take the oath in the Clerk’s Office to be sworn in, per council instructions.
The council did not attach additional committee assignments or conditions to either action at the meeting.
