We found some asbestos that obviously needs removed.” He told the committee multiple bids were received and recommended moving forward so removal can occur before additional construction continues.
Director Murray moved the combined approval of items 4.1 through 4.3; Director Moyer seconded. “Motion to approve items 4.1, 4.2, and 4.3,” Director Murray said. The motion carried unanimously after the roll call, with Doctor Messinger recording his affirmative vote.
The bundled package also included a corrected IAU pass‑through funds agreement; Doctor Messinger said the earlier version carried incorrect years and dollar amounts and has been revised for revote. The third item was a student agreement included with the packet for formal approval.
Officials said the approvals were meant to let necessary work and administrative corrections proceed immediately; no further public comment or detailed roll‑call tallies were recorded in the committee transcript.
