Committee approves Jack's Triple 7 tavern license with outdoor area and surrender condition

The West Allis Economic Development Committee approved a new Class B tavern and public entertainment license for Jack's Triple 7 LLC, doing business as Jack's Triple 7, at 6711 W. Beloit Road, with amendments to include a small fenced outdoor smoking area as part of the licensed premises and a condition that the previous license be surrendered.

Agent Jeff Clark spoke to the committee about his prior experience operating taverns. "I own JC's Pub on 80 First National. We have 1 in Windlake. We have 1 in," Clark said in his remarks on experience running similar establishments. Committee members asked whether the outdoor area would be part of the licensed premises and whether cameras would be reinstalled; Clark said cameras will be installed indoors and that he was replacing cameras removed by the prior operator.

The committee moved to approve the license with an amendment to list the outdoor area as part of the premises and to require the surrender of the prior license before operation. The committee recorded a voice vote in favor; the chair declared "The ayes have it." Committee discussion noted the applicant still must complete health and other inspections before opening and that the clerk's office can confirm surrender of the previous license.
