After a required public hearing the council approved a reseller's precious metal license for Teddy's Gold and Silver, LLC at 14250 Plymouth Avenue; the police department background check found no disqualifying information.
The Burnsville City Council approved a reseller's precious metal license for Teddy's Gold and Silver LLC, doing business as Teddy's Gold and Silver, for a location at 14250 Plymouth Avenue South.
Deputy City Clerk Erica Henderson presented the application and told the council police background checks of the principals returned no information that would disqualify the applicant. "The police department have conducted their background check and nothing was found on the principles involved to deny the application," Henderson said on the record.
Why it matters: city code requires a public hearing for new reseller licenses so the council has an opportunity to review police vetting and public testimony before approving such businesses. No members of the public spoke and council approved the license by voice vote.
Council action: after the public hearing the council moved, seconded and approved the reseller license application. The motion carried and the license was granted.
