David Michael, representing the applicant, said both options comply with the Deerfield/Crabapple permitted colors and that the material is a graphic film suitable for textured surfaces. Board members reviewed color swatches and how the mural would integrate with the building facade. No public commenters spoke on the item.
After discussion the board moved to approve Option 2, which uses a darker smoky palette and slightly larger graphic footprint than the previous design. The motion passed unanimously. Staff noted the bank must file the appropriate sign permit and that color/material details on the approved option would be recorded with the building permit application.
The board’s approval allows the applicant to proceed with the mural under the approved option; sign and building permit review will follow standard staff procedures.
