The council voted to adopt a committee report recommending acquisition and later adopted Resolution R25-71 (necessity) and Resolution R25-72 (purchase agreement).
The purchase agreement with JLO Properties LLC is for $10,071.22 and is tied to CIP number 20-93. Staff displayed a site attachment showing the current location in the right-of-way and the orange area indicating the new parcel to be purchased. Council members confirmed only one parcel—owned by JLO Properties—was needed for the relocation.
During committee discussion staff stated the city followed its standard formula and policy for property acquisition. The council approved the committee recommendation and then passed the resolution and purchase agreement by voice vote. No motions to amend the purchase amount were recorded.
