Superintendent Johnson announced the hiring of Cynthia Porter as the Eau Claire Area School District’s Director of Secondary Programming and Post‑Secondary Readiness, effective July 1, 2025.
Superintendent Johnson said Porter holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and a Master of Arts in Secondary Education from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Michigan Technological University. Johnson added that Porter is licensed by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction to serve as an administrator and that her background includes roles as a math teacher, instructional facilitator, high‑school principal and assistant principal; most recently she served as assistant principal at Rollins Middle School in Wyoming.
The board received the appointment as an administrative update; no formal action was taken during the meeting.
