Board reorganizes: Nordine elected president; Beaker, Farrar, Ellworthy and Griz named officers

The Eau Claire Area School District board held its annual reorganizational meeting and elected officers for the coming year.
Mark Ellworthy, serving as clerk designee for the reorganizational meeting, opened nominations and called for votes. Commissioner Dement moved to nominate Commissioner Nordine for president; Commissioner Farrar seconded. With no other nominations, the board voted and "Commissioner Nordine is elected president," the clerk announced.
Nominations followed for vice president and other officer roles. Doctor Beaker was nominated and elected vice president; Doctor Farrar was nominated and elected Clerk/Governance Officer; Dr. Ellworthy was nominated and elected Clerk Designee (the position historically held by the Executive Director of Business Services). The board also elected Commissioner Dement as treasurer and Terry Griz as board secretary. All officer votes were called and approved by voice vote, with no recorded opposing votes during the reorganizational roll calls.
The reorganizational meeting concluded and the board proceeded to the regular agenda.
