Manager Jenny Morris told the board servers are trained to check identification and that staff "physically check" IDs rather than relying on electronic scans. Morris said the restaurant posts a sign stating "no ID, no beer." The business gave its planned hours as 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
After the presentation, a board member moved to approve the permit and another board member seconded; the board approved the motion by voice vote. Board staff told the applicants they may pick up the permit after 10 a.m. the next day.
The board did not reference any statute or local ordinance on the record during the hearing. No written conditions or limitations were announced at the meeting.
