Commissioners report grants, FAA approval for Fern Street transfer site and new ambulance acquisition

Carlson also reported that the Federal Aviation Administration approved the county's Fern Street site for the planned solid-waste transfer site. "We found out that the FAA did approve our Fern Street site for our our, solid waste to put our transfer site over on the Fern Street property," Carlson said. Separately, commissioners said the county was able to take immediate delivery of a new ambulance that had been built for another agency, accelerating the replacement timeline.
