"I, Clint Hall, mayor of Saint Charles, do hereby announce and proclaim to all the citizens that May 4 through May tenth of 2025 is public service recognition week," Hall read.
The proclamation encouraged residents to "recognize the accomplishments and the contributions of government employees at all levels, federal, state, county, and city." Hall also thanked city employees present at the meeting and praised their service to Saint Charles.
No formal council vote on the proclamation was recorded during the meeting; the mayor issued the proclamation and called on citizens to acknowledge public employees' work.
