The Newark City Council finance committee on May 5 voted 5-0 to go into executive session to discuss an IFF agreement and personnel matters.
Council member Chutes moved to convene the executive session and Council member Hauser seconded the motion; the chair recorded a unanimous voice vote. The committee specified that administration, department directors, the fire chief and assistant fire chief, and the tax commission were to attend. The meeting transcript also records that an individual named Marvin Diaz was present or identified in association with the session.
The committee did not discuss the substance of the IFF agreement or personnel matters in open session. No further public action or votes on those topics were recorded in the public portion of the meeting.
