Staff told the committee the CPT fund is reimbursed by the State of Ohio for certain training, and that the state appears to be moving from annual to quarterly reimbursements; the $23,209.68 appropriation covers reimbursement money for training costs and may result in additional appropriation requests during the year. Committee members approved that request with no substantive discussion.
The $15,870 item was a refund request from a business that owed a tax liability in 2023 but made estimated payments for 2024 and was no longer in the JED in 2024; staff said the company wanted its overpayment returned. The committee approved the refund 5-0.
All three motions passed by voice vote with a unanimous tally reported as 5-0.
