The total contract presented to council was $1,116,000; staff said the contract will be shared jointly with the Equestrian Foundation and that the city's participation for the footing portion was described as 50% of a stated amount. “This is just our next step in the renovation of the equestrian center at Wills Park,” Rogers said.
No public comment was offered on the item. Councilman Hipes moved to approve the award and authorized the mayor to execute documents; Councilman Will seconded and the council voted unanimously to approve the contract.
Staff and council thanked the Equestrian Foundation for its participation in cost-sharing to proceed with needed improvements.
