Superintendent Daley announced that Gates Chili will host the USDA summer meals program Monday, July 7 through Friday, Aug. 8 at Gates Chili High School. The district will offer breakfast to all students at the regional summer school and lunch for Gates Chili students; the superintendent noted this is the first time BOCES has been offered lunch through the district's summer program.
"Summer meals will kick off on Monday, July 7 and run through Friday, August 8 at Gates Chili High School," Superintendent Daley said. "This summer, we'll also be offering breakfast to all students at the regional summer school and lunch for any GC students. This is the first time offering for BOCES and a big win for our community."
Families were directed to district communications for details such as meal times and eligibility. The district did not provide specific participation estimates or meal funding breakdowns during the meeting.
