Assistant Superintendent for Business Dr. Mitch Volley told the board's finance, facilities and audit committee that the district's Building Brighter Futures construction work is progressing and that Phase 1 plans for the Future Ready project have been submitted to the New York State Education Department, Facilities Planning.
"We're prepared to go to the New York State Education Department, Facilities Planning. Those have actually gone out. And so we're on track there," Dr. Volley said at the committee's April 21 meeting. He also said conversations with stakeholder groups are ongoing for Phase 2 of the Future Ready project.
Committee members also reviewed a third-quarter internal claims audit and discussed next year's budget timeline during the April 21 meeting. Dr. Volley closed by reporting that stakeholder engagement on later Future Ready phases will continue as design and planning proceed.
